LOST AT SEA
I am a forty year old mother of 3 great children. We live on Galveston Island, Texas. I am writing this beg because on September 13, 2008 our lives changed for ever. I lost everything I owned, and my husband of 20 years,to hurricane Ike. He stayed behind to protect our property from looters. Please, I need prayer. I get discouraged and depressed.
Hi. I could use prayers to just not give up. I have had health issues for years. I lost the use of my arm, had knee surgery, paid for some of it out of pocket, didn't get short term disability while I recovered but I desperately needed the surgery and I don't regret it. I had an ovarian cyst after that, food allergies, worked for a while and then I was diagnosed with epilepsy. It got really bad and I had to stop working. I make greeting cards by hand with rubber stamps and I'm trying but I feel like I can't even get ahead or break even. Read more »

Any assistance welcome, please help our family.
I need money to pay for everyday essential items. It is getting cold and while my children have jackets they are in need of gloves and hats. We need to be able to cover the expense of shampoo and conditioner. We are staying with family at this time so housing is covered, but we have expenses like any other family. Any amount that you are able to afford is welcome. We fully appreciate it all. Time is short, please help us!
Although this is bazaar, I swear its true. My husband of 30 years was just released from the hospital after 11 months there. He has a rare brain infection called "mucor", it is actually a fungus or mold. Its a very debilitaing infection. The doctors have told me he doesn't have much longer to live, but I don't have the heart to tell him that. It paralyzed him for 5 months and he is just learning how to walk again. As the abcess gets smaller he regains more movement. Honestly, I'm not ready to give up yet. I've always worked but this year has been terrible. Read more »
Groceries for person on SSDI
For groceries. I paid my bills and I have nothing else left. Johnnie's foodmaster does deliver. I go to food pantries but I have allergies to sulfiting agents and yellow #5. I usually pass on the food that I can't eat to others. I have epilepsy and can't drive so I try to have the groceries delivered from Johnnie's in Charlestown. Read more »
Bike for my son
My beg is for my son and is pretty simple. He wants and needs a bike, we had bought him one last christmas and it was stolen in May this year right off our porch...chain and all. He really would like to finally learn to ride a bike. Can anyone help? Read more »

Grandchildren in danger
